Announcing our fall & winter seminars

I’m offering four seminars over the next few months. The first two assist you with planning your communications and knowing what is in the communications toolbox, one looks at considerations when planning a new website and there is an updated introduction to social media. You can purchase them upfront as a series or individually. The first two are related and can be purchased as a package.

Most of them are intended for staff and volunteers of charities and non-profits but they could also be valuable for others such as people with small businesses.

If there are any changes to the information below–perhaps even new opportunities for professional development, they will be posted on our Seminar and Workshop page.

Communications Planning for Charities & Non-profits

October 28, 2011     9 – 11 a.m.

Rockway Golf Club, Kitchener

Every charity and not-profit needs to communicate. If you are automatically doing what you did last year, what has always been done or making decisions on the go, having an overall communications strategy or communications plans for specific campaigns or initiatives can help you do more and do it better. This seminar will present the 5 key steps required in communications planning so that you are ready to take a more strategic approach to your communications. You will learn how to organize your efforts and get the most bang for your buck. The result will be higher quality communications that are more effective at helping you achieve your mission. You are recommended to also take the follow up workshop on the Communications Toolbox but you can take this seminar as a stand alone session.
