4 Years of Sharing My Nonprofit Communications Expertise

With the start of September, Communicate & Howe! and my communications blog is officially 4 years old.

Observations on the Most Read Post Lists

I’ve created lists of the most read posts over the past 12 months and the last 4 years. In doing so, I made several observations.

  • My How to Create a Nonprofit Communications Strategy series has really taken off and in fact now has a life of its own showing that it is proving itself useful.
  • None of my 2014 posts cracked these lists despite visitor stats being consistently strong. That’s in part the result of not writing as many posts combined with the enduring popularity of my earlier posts. I’ll try to write more posts over the next 12 months.

A peak at the next 12 months

As I move into my fifth year, I look forward to a couple upcoming events.

  • The publication of Excellence in Fundraising in Canada: Volume 2 which includes my chapter on social media (read  an excerpt)
  • Sharing with York Region nonprofits case studies of my work with Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region on October 2 (based on its 2012 & 2013 awareness campaigns)
  • Co-leading a full day media relations training session for a local nonprofit in November
