About a year ago, I co-presented a workshop for non-profits on how to get the most bang for your buck. It included tips, tools and advice on how to make a limited budget achieve the biggest impact possible. I gained my knowledge from my own experiences working for charities.
I continue to learn and share how to get the best bang for your buck and my most recent e-news has several examples such as how to use Twitter, how to take better photos and how to make the most of your Annual Report.
But in the workshop, I also reminded folks that sometimes you need to spend a buck to get the biggest bang for your buck. In other words, free or inexpensive optons are not always the best choice if you have a limited budget. If for example you are going to place an ad in the newspaper, you will want to use a trained graphic designer so that it looks professional and you will want to have it run often enough for people to notice it and act on it.
