Ryan DavisRyan Davis
Executive Director of Social Innovation, Blue State Digital
Ryan Davis works with Blue State Digital’s clients to create innovative social media strategies and creative content that generate interactions across all channels. As BSD's first Social Media Director, Ryan worked to develop fully integrated social media strategies for many diverse clients including The X Factor, The NAACP, The United Way and The Rockefeller Foundation. Ryan regularly speaks on topics from social media engagement to the presidency and digital media at universities including Harvard, Yale, & Columbia and conferences in London, New York, Milan, Vienna, Las Vegas, & Toronto.

Ryan was a member of the web team on Howard Dean's 2004 presidential campaign and has served as digital director on city and statewide campaigns in New York. He's also consulted on the digital marketing for Tony-nominated Broadway productions. This last election cycle, he was the co-founder and digital director of The Four 2012, a social media campaign for marriage equality. .

Lisa Middleton of Stratford Shakespeare FestivalLisa Middleton
Director of Marketing & Audience Development,
Lisa Middleton, director of marketing and audience development at the Stratford Festival, is a non-profit marketing executive with more than 19 years of experience in all aspects of marketing and development. She manages pricing, revenue management, direct marketing, advertising, promotions, retail operations and social and digital media for the Festival. Lisa loves data analytics and statistics, and uses information gleaned from analysis to guide the development of strategic directions for database segmentation, pricing analysis and model building all with an eye to maximize revenue and increase patron engagement.

She has brought the Festival to the forefront of social media and new digital media technologies through her innovative approach to online marketing.Lisa holds a BSc from York University.
Paul NazarethPaul Nazareth
Philanthropic Advisor, Scotia Private Client Group
Paul spent 12 years working as a fundraiser with Canadian charities and is now a philanthropic advisor with Scotia Private Client Group. He teaches planned giving with Georgian College and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners and is a passionate advocate of social business and the power of networking in our work and lives.








Sarah FalconerSara Falconer

Sara Falconer is a community manager for Entrinsic, strategizing and executing social media for some of the top brands in Canada.

She led the growth of online communities for WWF-Canada, now recognized as one of the most engaged charities in the country.

Sara is in high demand as a strategist, consultant and conference speaker. She was the community manager for the 2011 Social Media Week held in Toronto, and now serves on the SMWTO Advisory Board. She teaches social media marketing and social media for social change at George Brown.


Clair KerrClaire Kerr

Claire is a not-for-profit veteran who has worked for organizations in the economic development, education, and fundraising sectors. As Director of Digital Philanthropy at Artez Interactive, Claire works with charities as they fundraise through web, social & mobile channels. She writes about issues related to digital media and the civil sector for international marketing blog Osocio.org, charitable sector hub CharityVillage.com, and on her web site Nonprofity.com. Claire teaches Social Media Community Management and Digital Strategies for Charities & Non-profit Organizations at George Brown College in Toronto. Follow her on Twitter at @snotforprofit.

John is a partner at "Agents of Good" a collective of donor champions that works with charities and not for profits to connect their donors to their cause via inspirational marketing and fundraising.



Clare McDowallClare McDowall

Clare runs a social media consultancy, "Socially Good", specializing in helping non-profits understand and better utilize social and digital channels to communicate with supporters. Formerly a Communications Director for an environmental non-profit in Canada, and fundraiser with Oxfam in the UK, Clare is a passionate advocate for social media for social good. She is the Lead Organizer of Be Good Be Social Toronto, an annual, free, social media conference for non-profits and a communications volunteer for both AFP Toronto and SOFII.org.
